Job Description
Identify and secure new freight forwarding business opportunities and strategic partnerships, targeting SME and large sized companies with substantial logistics activities.
Contribute to the development and expansion of the Company's service offerings within the organization.
Establish and maintain long term customer relationships by providing excellent service and solutions.
Create and implement sales strategies and target lists to appropriate market segments.
Develop an in-depth understanding of key markets, focusing on trades, carriers, routes, sailings etc
Manage client activities including calls, sales presentations and developing sales solutions.
Report customer feedback to the operations team and management, assisting in resolving issues as necessary
The Successful Applicant
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in sales, specifically within the Freight Forwarding industry - with a focus on both Account Management and Business Development.
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transportation industry.
Proven sales track record, in developing new business from an existing client portfolio.
Ability to synthesize customer requirements and develop innovative solutions.
Proactive and self driven with a focus on results.
