Statistics New Zealand is currently looking for Data Collection Specialists to join their Data Collection team in a temporary role. Te tūnga | The role
As a Data Collection Specialist (DCS), you will report to a Team Leader and work in close partnership with other Data Collection teams, to build relationships with the business and social communities of Aotearoa, enabling collection of data from all types of respondents via their channel of choice. The role is about providing a great user experience for respondents - one that builds trust, is seamless, convenient, safe and recognises their contribution to Aotearoa.
This role requires calling or e-mailing selected businesses and/or households to conduct interviews via a channel of their choice and provide pre-contact support. Stats NZ will set you up to work from home, and provide you with the equipment, training, and on-going support you need to succeed and remain safe while carrying out your work.
Through these data collection activities, DCSs contribute to the creation of resources and information that aims to improve and enhance life in NZ. This remote work requires someone who can work efficiently on their own and must have access to fast and reliable internet. Many of the respondents find afternoons, evenings, and weekends more convenient, so your flexibility within these times will be required.
Start dates: 23rd September and 14th October
Duration: 11 weeks
Location: Mostly work from home, with training and meeting days in the Auckland CBD-based office
Pay: $29.13 per hour + 8% holiday pay (accrued weekly)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: You will need to be available for shifts between the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 9:00pm
Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Sundays: 10:00am to 6:00pm
