Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-driven and creative Digital/Content Strategist to develop and execute effective nurturing journeys for our target audience in the Financial Lifestyle Services (FLS) sector, specifically focusing on insurance products and services. This role will be responsible for understanding the customer journey, identifying key touchpoints, and creating engaging content that educates prospects and moves them through the sales funnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for creating personalized and impactful customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
Nurturing Journey Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive nurturing strategies and journeys for various insurance product lines and customer segments.
Map out the customer journey, identifying key touchpoints and content needs at each stage, considering factors like:
Awareness of insurance needs
Researching different insurance options
Comparing policies and providers
Making a purchase decision
Onboarding and policy management
Renewal and upselling opportunities
Define clear goals for each nurturing journey, such as lead generation, quote requests, sales, and customer retention.
Content Strategy & Planning:
Develop a content calendar aligned with nurturing journey goals and audience needs, addressing topics such as:
Understanding different types of insurance (life, health, auto, home, etc.)
The benefits of insurance coverage
Tips for choosing the right policy
Navigating the claims process
Financial planning and risk management
Identify and create a variety of content formats, including:
Email marketing campaigns
Blog posts and articles
Webinars and online events
Case studies and success stories (e.g., stories of how insurance helped customers in difficult situations)
Infographics and data visualizations (e.g., statistics on the importance of insurance coverage)
Ebooks and white papers (e.g., guides to understanding insurance policies)
Landing pages
Ensure all content is compliant with insurance regulations and ethical guidelines.
Audience Segmentation & Personalization:
Segment the insurance audience based on demographics, life stage, insurance needs, and engagement.
Develop personalized content and messaging for each segment, considering factors like:
Age and family status
Income and assets
Risk tolerance
Specific insurance needs (e.g., life insurance for young families, retirement planning for older adults)
Utilize marketing automation tools to deliver targeted content at the right time.
Data Analysis & Optimization:
Track and analyze the performance of nurturing journeys, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, quote requests, policy sales, and customer retention.
Identify areas for improvement and optimize content, messaging, and timing.
Use A/B testing to experiment with different approaches and improve results.
Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing managers, sales teams, content writers, designers, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution.
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, content strategy, nurturing, and the insurance industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or marketing automation.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful nurturing journeys, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including different types of insurance products, regulations, and sales processes.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing best practices.
