We are Safebox Technologies, one of the fastest-growing South Florida Managed IT Services providers. We are located in Marco Island, Florida and looking for a rock-star IT Field Technician to join our team. Are you passionate about technology? Do you want to be part of a startup? As an IT Field Technician, you will troubleshoot desktop administration and network issues, both in-office and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to field service requests from business accounts
When not on service calls, works from Marco Island Office. (Note, we will open an office in Naples or Fort Myers in the next year but until then you will need to commute to Marco Island)
Handle escalations from Level 1 technicians
Manage and administer Windows 10 and 11 (Home/Pro) and Windows Server.
Navigate Microsoft 365 and Entra (Azure AD) as an Administrator.
Troubleshoot and maintain switches, routers, wireless equipment, and firewalls.
Apply intermediate TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLAN concepts for network troubleshooting.
Configure and manage Active Directory, group policies, and user permissions
Operate virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware) for testing and production environments.
Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and VoIP systems.
Navigate tight server racks, manage cabling, and perform work at short heights using ladders.
Use basic tech hand tools for on-site repairs and installations (Crimpers, cable testers)
Use ticketing systems to log incidents and maintain detailed documentation.
Independently diagnose and resolve technical issues while communicating effectively with customers and team members.
Additional Requirements:
Laptops/desktop computers and printers may need to be lifted. On occasions, heavier equipment (large printers, servers, or desks) may need to be moved and require a team lift.
We often have changing priorities; in our rapidly growing organization, the candidate needs to be able to multitask effectively and pivot in the field.

Firewall troubleshooting and management
Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong analytical skills paired with a customer-focused approach.
Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms to support remote diagnostics such as Datto, Connectwise etc. is a strong plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent
At least 5 years of IT Experience
Valid Driver's License
Certifications are a strong plus: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ (or similar vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware).
