Overview:

We are seeking an experienced S/4HANA ABAP Developer with strong knowledge of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to support key enhancements in warehouse operations. This role will involve custom development of RF scanning logic, system-directed put away logic, and optimized picking list outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. RF Scanning Enhancements Receiving Optimization

• Redesign and enhance RF scanner interfaces for inbound receiving using the SAP EWM RF framework.
• Develop logic to capture and tally scanned SKUs in real time during unloading.
• Implement real-time validation against expected deliveries and flag discrepancies.
• Improve usability of scanning screens to match unloading workflow and reduce manual entry.

1. Putaway Logic Customization

• Analyze and enhance system-directed putaway logic to align with actual bin capacities and warehouse layout.
• Update custom logic or user exits to reflect real-time capacity checks and minimize false full bin messages.
• Eliminate redundant storage checks and enhance storage control logic where needed.

1. Picking List Optimization

• Modify picking list output programs or smart forms to consolidate SKUs by warehouse location.
• Streamline document layout to reduce page count and improve picking efficiency.
• Support performance tuning of report generation for large delivery volumes.

Requirements:

• 10+ years hands-on ABAP development, with at least 2+ years in S/4HANA environments.
• Strong SAP EWM, especially around RF Framework, picking, putaway, and warehouse process support.
• Proficiency in:
• Classical and Object-Oriented ABAP
• Enhancement Framework (BAdIs, User Exits)
• ALV Reports and Custom Programs
• Familiarity with warehouse master data, bin management, and integration with SAP Logistics modules.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with functional consultants and warehouse SMEs to deliver scalable solutions.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Fiori/UI5 development for warehouse mobile screens.
• Exposure to SAP EWM on Decentralized vs. Embedded S/4HANA setups.
• Basic understanding of SAP EWM customizing and process flows.
