We seek a Senior Cloud Engineer to support the State Program Portal (SPP) project. This critical initiative aims to develop a robust, interactive, state-centered platform that allows state-specific data analysis, comparison, and the generation of evidence-based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, architect, and maintain cloud environments using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
Utilize tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Implement and optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Manage containerized applications and services using Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and monitoring, using services such as AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory, AWS KMS, and CloudWatch.
Develop and maintain serverless solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) and microservices to support dynamic application needs.
Work with both NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB) and SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and DevOps engineers, in an Agile/Scrum environment. Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence for task management and progress tracking.
Stay current with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, edge computing, and cybersecurity to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in cloud engineering with a proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure.
At least 3 years of experience with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Minimum of 3 years working with Docker and Kubernetes.
At least 3 years of experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Professional certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Proficiency in infrastructure as code, CI/CD tools, containerization technologies, serverless computing, and database management.
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team setting.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AI/ML integration, edge computing, and advanced cloud solutions.
Familiarity with additional DevOps practices and tools for automation and monitoring.
