Staff Developers at AgencyAnalytics are T-shaped, meaning they not only operate broadly at a high
level across technical areas but can also dive deep into specific areas and teams when needed.
As a Staff Developer you can expect to be brought into initiatives at the strategy and discovery phases to ideate on what’s possible. You’ll experiment and drive new, and changes to existing, system architectures. You’ll be a coach and mentor to our engineering team. Along with other Staff Developers and technical leaders, you’ll set the operating rhythm to balance high efficiency with high quality.

You’ll work tightly with engineering and product leaders as peers
Through code reviews and peer feedback, you advocate for high standards and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase
Key Responsibilities
Your time will be divided between leading cross-functional technical projects, building and
reviewing architectures on various teams, and coaching and mentoring our engineering team.
You’ll be setting and driving coding standards, technical processes, and tooling across engineering
You'll prioritize and work on multiple projects from start to finish, balancing quality, stability and project delivery.
Through code reviews and mentoring you'll set a high quality bar. As well, you’ll actively look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase.
You'll work across teams to promote an open, collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problem solving.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You have 8+ years of professional SaaS architecture and development experience, having lead teams to successful outcomes
You have previously held a Staff Developer or higher level title
You are hands-on. In this role you will be writing code, daily
You have deep experience working closely with Backend engineers and UX/UI Designers to plan, design, and implement frontend system architectures and features
You have deep experience with frontend performance best practices, tooling, and monitoring
You’ve mastered React and Typescript and have mentored engineers in both
You are an expert at translating company objectives into technical delivery milestones
You set a high bar for quality and hold yourself and other engineers accountable to it
You’re exceptional at unblocking engineering teams to keep things moving
Our Stack:
Typescript, React, and Redux
Modern PHP (PSR) + Laravel
GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL), BigQuery, and Redis
GCP Cloud Tasks and PubSub
Compensation
Our base salary for this role ranges from $129800- $194700 / year CAD. Compensation is determined by factors such as market salary data within Canada, technical skills, previous work history, and internal pay equity. Many positions also include additional variable compensation, which our Talent Acquisition team will discuss with you during the interview process.
