RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a fully remote Staff/Senior Software Engineer to join their team.

Summary:
This person must have experience leading team members (ideally at least 5+) which includes mentoring, code reviews, performance conversations, and be able to lead from an architectural perspective. The Engineer must also be hands-on in the code from a technical standpoint. They will be overseeing much of the POS, so experience with that is a large plus. This will be a heavily focused backend app with Java 21, Springboot, and hosted in Google Cloud Platform/Kubernetes. There will also be a simple UI in React.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-8+ years of Java experience
* Experience leading team members (ideally at least 5+) including mentoring, code reviews, performance conversations, etc.
* Expertise in Springboot and cloud (ideally Google Cloud Platform)
* Expert in Kubernetes
* Experience in testing and SRE techniques
* Ability to communicate/collaborate with stakeholders in a fast paced agile environment
* Business acumen and ability to communicate with teams in a fast-paced agile environment is also very important
* POS/retail experience is a big plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
