Accountabilities:
- Architect, design, and implement distributed, scalable systems that power identity, verification, and authentication solutions.
- Build resilient, secure solutions that protect users while delivering minimal friction.
- Drive technical strategy and roadmap planning alongside engineering leadership.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts, ensuring system reliability.
- Identify and execute improvements in system performance, scalability, and security.
- Balance delivery of new features with the reduction of technical debt to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a high-performance technical culture.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in identity and authentication.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience building secure, scalable, and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in designing resilient architectures and solving production-level issues.
- Experience influencing high-level technical decisions and driving system-wide initiatives.
- Expertise in modern software engineering best practices, observability, and maintainable codebases.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven customer-first approach when balancing innovation, usability, and security.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in identity, authentication, and access management technologies.
- Experience with protocols and technologies such as OAuth, SAML, OIDC, TOTP, WebAuthn.
- Familiarity with fraud prevention systems, developer-focused APIs/SDKs, or telco systems.
- Understanding of biometric authentication and multi-factor verification methods.
